Biography
He is a founder and director of the Lower Silesian Centre of Cellular Transplantation, Wroclaw (Poland) which participates in the National Marrow Donor Program (Minneapolis, USA) as an international transplant centre since 2002 (No. TC 484). He started marrow transplantation in 1987 and the institution activity cover auto- and allogeneic transplantations of hematopoietic cells in sibling and alternative donor settings. He is an author and co-author of more than 200 scientific papers published in peer-review journals (immunology and immunogenetics of transplantation, pioneering transplantation in immunodeficiency and marrow processing ). He served as a research coordinator of FP5 StemNet project and his institution has EBMT, EFI and NMDP accreditations.
