Oncology is a branch of medicine and the study of cancer is called as Oncology. The physician or a surgeon who is involved in treating people suffering with cancer is called as an Oncologist or a medical professional who practices oncology is an oncologist. This field of oncology has three major areas, they are: medical, surgical and radiation.
