Biography
Dr. Zuba-Surma is a group leader in Department of Cell Biology at the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnlogy and Head of Laboratory of Stem Cell Biotechnology in Malopolska Centre for Biotechnology at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland. She completed her PhD in molecular biology and immunology in 2004 from Jagiellonian University. In 2005, she moved to USA for her 4-year postdoctoral fellowships in Institute of Molecular Cardiology and Stem Cell Biology Institute at the University of Louisville, KY. She published more than 90 papers in reputed journals in stem cell and cardiology fields and is co-author of patent and several patent applications. She was awarded by several national and international prices and stipends for scientific achievements and she has been actively founded by several grant agencies for her work in stem cell field (NIH, NCN, NCBiR, FNP).
