Biography

Dr Claire Henchcliffe serves as Director for the Weill Cornell Parkinson’s Disease & Movement Disorders Institute in New York, Vice Chair for Clinical Research, and Associate Professor in Neurology, New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, New York NY USA. Her doctorate was completed at Oxford University UK, followed by post-doctoral genetics and neuroscience research at the University of Cambridge UK, and the University of California at Berkeley USA . She completed medical training at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York NY. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Neurological Association, and a member of the Movement Disorders Society, and the Parkinson’s Study Group. She has published and lectured widely on Parkinson’s disease. Her major research interest is in developing neurorestorative and neuroprotective interventions to reverse or arrest decline in Parkinson’s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders.
